Hi! First of all, I really like this piece. The colours you used are very vibrant and your shading is well done too. The spots of light on the girl's eyes and hair are well executed.
However, I am a bit confused with the background. (I read your comment though, great way to practice!) I can see that they are flowers but I must suggest that the 3-dimensional illusion is lost when all the flowers are drawn the same. Try using softer, larger brush strokes in the distance to show them fading out, like the trees beyond the field. Also lower the saturation in the distance to show an even greater sense of 3D space.
Overall, very well done. Keep up the great work.

Warning! I may be frank so don't take this too personally:
First off, I'd like to say this is such a vibrant picture! The colors are all cheery and match the support the character's expression very nicely. The way you colored it gives off the appearance of a mixed media piece, that is the character is water colored and the bg was acrylic and such
There seems to be conflict with your background, lighting and shadows. Is that a sunrise or a sunset? I think, with your color palette of choice, a bright morning or noon-time (any period with the sun high in the sky) would've been more appropriate because imagine: when the sun is in the sky on a cloudless day, everything with color is clearer and draws attention to itself. If it were a sunrise or a sunset, I suggest there should be a sort of tint of orange/russet/whathaveyou to everything (character, bg and sky).
Also, the background can be given more attention, like adding more details to the lavenders when they're nearer the character and less details on the rows further away. For example, you could draw actual lavender heads at the bushes that are really close while the further along the row you go, you can get away with drawing dashes and lines that suggest lavender heads. Same goes for the background plants (in fact, maybe you could turn them into silhouettes since they're right in the way of the sun).
But of course
It's a cute piece and I really enjoyed viewing it

Im somewhat conflicted on the bg, because some said to add more detail whilst others say its just right.
Thank you though for your constructive comment :'D
I did use lavender photos for the bg, but i think i need to work on my detailing a lot more
Thank you once again ;A;
